Weekend update 14/15th July 2018
On Sat in Tullamore we had three athletes in action in the 800m races at day 1 of the national juveniles. First on track was Joe Fogarty in the under 15 race. Joe was well up for the first lap but a toe injury sustained two weeks ago came back to haunt him on the second lap. Joe bravely finished the race but was clearly in pain. Hopefully after a few weeks rest he will be back for the cross country season. Gillian Murphy had a great run in her first track nationals running a personal best and first Dublin athlete. Sean Donoghue stepped down to 800m, came 3rd and broke 2mins for the first time.
In Irishtown at the IMC event Niamh Donnelly won her 800m race just outside her personal best, Daire Finn ran a personal best in his 800, Aislinn Moorehouse did a seasons best in the 1500m and Catherine Mc Manus did a seasons best winning the 400m. Well done everyone.
Thanks to everyone who turned out to help at the 10mile in the park on Saturday. Great job done by all!!
