Results update week 30th June to 8th July

Our older athletes have had a very busy racing schedule this past week. On Saturday 30th June the National Junior and under 23 championships we held in Tullamore. Alison Burke came 2nd in the 100m hurdles, Caoimhe Lynam ran two personal bests in the heat and final of her 400m and came 3rd in the final, her first national individual medal. Cliona Murphy ran well in a competitive 1500m under 23 and was in contention for a medal until the last 200m just missing out but running close to her best time.

On Wednesday night in Santry at the graded leagues Catherine McManus ran a seasons best in the 100m, Daire Finn was just outside his best in the 800m, good 800m running too from Niamh Donnelly, Aoife ni bhroin, Sara Jane and Edel.

We had a group running in Santry on Sunday 8th July in guest races in conjunction with the National inter club event. Alison Burke had a good win in the hurdles, Catherine won the 400m hurdles and ran a seasons best in the 200m, Sean Donoghue ran a personal best just over 4mins in the 1500m finishing just behind Pierre who ran a seasons best.
Niamh Donnelly won the 1500m with Clare Brennan not far behind. Good to see Aislinn Moorehouse back racing after spraining her ankle a few weeks ago. Aoife had another good run in the 800m. Hopefully everyone included in the update. Well done all.
