We had a great weekend in Curracloe with 37 very tired but beaming faces arriving back in Dublin on Sunday night. Blessed yet again with two beautiful days for running, swimming and all the other beach stuff our athletes got up to. Thank you to the parents who gave up their free time to facilitate the trip and do the catering. Photos later!

National Seniors
The National seniors finished off the track season for our older athletes last weekend. We had 3 athletes in action. Catherine Mc Manus qualfied on Saturday for the final of the 100m on Sunday. She finished 7th in the final. Forty mins later she lined up for the final of the 100m hurdles where she took off too fast and was too close to the first hurdle to clear it and bombed out of the race!. One thing Catherine doesnt lack is guts, she got up, dusted herself down and went back to the warm up area to prepare for the 200m half an hour later. She lined up for the 200m probably ranked 4th going in and ran a great race finishing 3rd and bagged her first senior outdoor National medal. Well done Catherine!Niamh Donnelly and Claire Brennan ran in the 1500m. Claire was tired from the gun and found it really tough but Niamh gave the race everything and came very close to her personal best in her final track race of the season. Well done to all three girls. Its been a long season and they will now have a well deserved rest.
A big thank you to the young athletes who helped with the gear baskets. You did a great job!
