National Junior Cross country -TullamoreOur team of Clare Brennan, Heather Lougheed , Alison Armstrong and Cliona Carthy were gallant silver medal winners in the National Juniors over a tough 6k course.This was our first time to have a junior team in the nationals and was a great result for the girls. We are all very proud of them.

Day 4 and 5 of the Dublins
The relays were held in artic conditions in Tallaght on Saturday. Our under 10, 11, 12 and 13 girls teams all made the finals but didnt make the Medals on this occasion. All the girls enjoyed the day despite the coal, not sure what the adults felt!

In Santry on Sunday, Caoimhe Bresnan was sick all week but still managed a fine race, Billy and Ella Mae both got boxed in badly in their finals but ran well. In the under 12 girls high jump Sophie English jumped brilliantly to come 2nd, Chloe Corcoran was delighted with her 3rd place in the under 13 high jump and Alison Burke was very happy with her bronze medal in the under 14 high jump. Well done to all the above and to all the others who competed at the weekend and didnt feature in the medals.

OPERATION TRANSFORMATION RACE
Helpers need for Baggage area for the race in the Park. Anyone whos free and willing please meet at the Hole in the Wall at 9am. Should be all over and done with at 11.30.

All athletes who qualified from last Saturdays heats in the 600m need to be out in Santry on Sunday at 12.15 to get warmed up and ready for 1pm start. They are :-Ada, Ella Mae, Caoimhe Bresnan, Billy, and Dora.

Sophie English, be there at 12 for high jump at 12.30.Alison Burke be there for 12.30 for the Shot putt under 14.
Emily X2, Dora, Chloe, Ella Mae, be there at 1.00 for 1.30 high jump, under 13.
Alison Burke be there at 2pm for high jump at 2.30

Gillian and Conor, Cillian be there at 1 pm for long jump at 1.30.
Emily, Dora, Chloe be there at 3pm for long jump at 3.30.

Track is on the Greenhills road in Tallaght. Pool lifts if you can as parking will be a pain. Dress for Winter as the track is very open and can be very cold. Buses from town No 27

Well done to Steffi Creaner who won a silver medal in the 200m at the Nationals at the weekend. Our only other competitor was Niamh Donnelly in the 1500m where she equalled her previous best time. Highlight will be shown on RTE tonite (mon) at 8pm.
